Coming to Codebits by train

If you're using Portuguese trains to come to Codebits, this information might be useful to you.

CP (Comboios de Portugal) if going to offer discounts in some of services they offer for those of you travelling to Lisbon (and back again).

  • 20% off in first or second class in Intercidades;
  • 20% off in Turística (aka second class) in Alfa Pendular.

Here's what you have to do:

  • print the email you got accepting you to the event;
  • show that email when purchasing your round-trip tickets (you need to do this at a regular counter);
  • keep that printed copy on you so you can show it during the trip (to show that you're elligible for the discount on your ticket)

You need to purchase a round-trip ticket to either Lisboa Santa Apolónia or Lisboa Oriente (the two main train stations in Lisbon). The discount can only be applied to travels taking place between December the 2nd at 12:00 and December the 6th at 12:00.

Nice, like last year we'll have discount going by train, but I think this year is bigger isn't it? Last year if I'm not wrong it was 10%...

Indeed, this year the discount is bigger.

Im wondering... What's the easy way to go:

Santa-Apolonia --> Cordoaria
or
Oriente --> Cordoaria

how? metro or bus?

Santa Apolónia is closer.

We're about to put a blog post on how to get to Codebits, but what you'll probably want to do is get the subway to Terreiro do Paço and get tram number 15 from there to Cordoaria.
