Deep Zoom, Instant Messaging plugins and Media Sharing

Codebits has a very nice schedule put together: HTML5, distributed programming, demos, Git, distributed versioning control systems, AJAX, MySQL, bash, Ruby, PhoneGap, Erlang, Canvas, Map Reduce, BlackRay, Android, high availability and more.

With the last few changes we made to the schedule, we're sure many of you haven't heard about some of the talks that recently showed up, so here's a bit of an update:

Deep Zoom

This talk focuses on how to use Deep Zoom to create beautiful high resolution photo galleries such as the ones from Renault and HardRock while "disposing of the size problems usually associated with high quality images in the web".

SAPO messenger meets Web2.0

SAPO Messenger's team is about to unveil an API that allows you to create plugins such as games and bots that will enrich conversations. If you'd like to implement a real-time game that you could play via instant messaging, this is the talk for you.

Instant Media Sharing

Taking hundreds of pictures and videos is easy. Uploading them is usually not that simple. This talk focuses precisely on creating software to do automatic, on demand, uploading of media content straight from your UPnP A/V devices.
